The picture shows staples as part of the item, but there were no directions as to what to do with them. The directions are pretty straightforward and use pictures, however they did not say there where to put the extra sticky strip on each piece of wood. (I should have figured it out by reading the instructions more than once). I didn’t need them, so for me it didn’t matter. I would totally recommend this product. Much cheaper than getting it done by someone else. It was simple to do and looks great and sturdy!

This canvas stretchers kit worked great for my paint-by-number canvas kit. The canvas was smaller than expected (not enough for full-overlap onto outer back edge of the assembled frame), but positioning the adhesive sides toward the canvas (instead of the outer back edge) worked perfectly! I would definitely recommend this product for stretching other canvases.

Picture turned out wonderful! It was super frustrating but in the best way. I let out so much stress painting this and it turned out great! There is a grey area on the boat and what not and I had trouble figuring out which paint it was that needed to go there….but I looked harder and saw that there’s an unmarked paint and that was the one!

Recently I had purchased five pieces of canvas artwork of varying sizes from the internet, knowing I was going to have to DIY up a canvas frame solution for each of them. I’m here to tell you that I *might* have been able to do it without these frame kits, but it would’ve been a lot more challenging, AND a lot more expensive! Simple instructions, simple pieces, and after spending a couple hours… I ended up with 5 absolutely gorgeous pieces of artwork with minimal work and miniscule money invested. (Trust me, if you’ve ever had to have something professionally framed, you know how expensive it can get!) My only complaint (and it’s relatively minor) is that each kit comes with metal “brackets” to pin down the edges of your canvas to the frame. In every case, the metal brackets were seemingly frozen to each other and I couldn’t separate them from one another — so they were basically useless. I ended up using a staple gun I had on hand to pin down each edge, and it worked beautifully. If I end up with canvasses in the future, there’s no question I’ll pick up more of these. ALSO… keep in mind that no instructions are included with the package itself, so you’ll want to return to the Amazon page and print your instructions from there. The steps are super-simple.

This product was so much fun to work on. I was nervous that the painting wouldn’t match up to my photo, but it did perfectly. For those worried about the small spaces, the brushes they provide with the canvas work really well. Not only is it fun, but it’s also sturdy and if you need more of a certain color, the make sure to provide it. My canvas was very colorful and it was a picture of two musicians I admire. The colors matched up perfectly and I had enough to do a double coat of each of the 30 paints/colors. They also give you the hardware to hang your canvas up (minus the hook).
I loved it so much I’m ordering another one tonight. Can’t rec this enough!
