Roses Are Red,Some tips I learned along the way:
1. Take a photo of the canvas on your phone before you start, so you can refer back to it and zoom in to see small numbers. I also kept a magnifying glass nearby for the same reason.
2. Buy your own brushes
3. Be sure to cover the lines on the first pass so you don’t have to go back and touch this up. That said, some lighter colors require a second coat in any case.
4. Be sure you have considered the price of framing, as it can increase the total cost of the project substantially. In my case, it added another $150.

I haven’t had this much fun in a long time. It can look intimidating but it is so easy to do! I’ve already purchased another paint by number so I can have another project to do! I highly recommend purchasing an easel (not included) so you don’t strain your neck. I also purchased so extra brushes but what it comes with is adequate.

Compared to paying well over $100 to have a 24″x16″ done at a shop, I decided to try this product for a 30″x 20″ print and it worked out just fine, if you first absorb the instructions that come with it.

Works well, but be sure that you have enough extra canvas around the edge to be wrapped over the edge of the frame so as to not lose part of the picture that you want left exposed for display.

I really enjoyed doing this project! I had plenty of paint for each number, I love how vibrant, colorful and big it is! I look forward to buying and painting more.
My only complaint would be that it came tightly folded and it was difficult to get the creases out. I ironed it, steamed it and laid heavy books on it for 4-5 days and it still has some visible creasing. Overall I am VERY pleased with how it turned out and I can’t wait to hang it on my bedroom wall.

Great product. Some of the colors were wonky in some areas, but then the step back and look at the full picture and looks perfect. I did some tweaking to the hair and did it myself with the colors I thought fit best, and texture I wanted, but I recommend just following the guidelines cause it would’ve been a whole lot easier for me if I just followed the numbers with the hair😂

The product description makes this sound like a fun painting kit with everything. That is not the case. This is an involved project. If you like an involved painting project then this will be fun for you. If you want something like what you did as a child, you may want to look elsewhere. How nice the finished product will look depends on how well you prepare and your level of commitment.
PREPARE TO:
– The photo of the final product is small, you may want to make a larger copy
– This comes folded and wrinkled, gently iron it flat
– mount it on some sort of a frame BEFORE painting
– watch a couple online videos (youtube) before attempting this
– have a bit of paint thinner on hand
– get some more brushes
– NOTE: If you do not prepare yourself and the canvas BEFORE you paint, it will not look nice
QUALITY NOTES:
+ Once prepared, the canvas is good
+ The brushes will last long enough to finish this picture if you are careful
+ If you are careful, the paint will likewise last
– If you like to use a lot of paint or enjoy texture, get some more paint
– The colors are numbered only and there is NO color guide so if you need more paint (there is only a little of each) then you will need to mix the colors by sight.

 I bought this Frank S. Burton DIY painting kit to give me a productive activity that doesn’t involve being my phone. The kit comes with a large canvas imprinted with a black outline image of an elephant. Each area to be painted is marked with a number. That number corresponds to a numbered paint pot of a specific color. There are 3 brushes — 1 standard flat brush, 1 ultra find point, and 1 fine point. Before painting, get a small cup of water for cleaning the brushes and some paper towels. There are 4 sets of paint pots of multiple colors. The paint is water based, yet thick and quick drying. It best to close a pot immediately after use, so the paint doesn’t dry out.
There is also a paper version of the image to reference when matching the number of an area to the corresponding numbered paint pot. It’s best to start at the top of the canvas and paint from top to bottom. This elephant image is quite complex, so I plan to paint it slowly. Clean up is easy because I just use soap and water to clean my hands and the brushes.
This is a very affordable kit for gifting yourself or someone. After you’re finished, you have an art piece to frame and hang. It’s relaxing; plus it develops eye hand coordination and exercises the brain!
